Meet the artist

Mandi Adams is a Texas transplant who came to Arkansas to attend the University of Arkansas—and decided to stay. Today, she lives in Springdale with her husband, four daughters, and a Goldendoodle, working in technology by day and painting and designing by night.

Through Madam Artansas, Mandi (a.k.a. the M+Adam) creates artwork inspired by the place she now calls home. Her work celebrates Arkansas wildlife, native plants, landscapes, landmarks, and the little details that make this state special. She has a particular soft spot for quirky whimsy and a good pun (hence ARTansas), so not everything she creates takes itself too seriously. Her Ozarks Animals & Botanicals collection embraces that playful side, while Landmark Lines reimagines beloved Northwest Arkansas places as minimalist continuous-line illustrations.

For Mandi, art is a way to celebrate the state she fell in love with—and help others fall in love with Arkansas, too.
